Project Overview
vivid/stasis is a free rhythm game created for PC, where players hit notes on screen in sync with music. Typically in rhythm games, every song has it's own unique "jacket," which is functionally like an album cover, but for one song instead of an entire album. This is so each song has its own individual identity, which helps differentiate itself amongst the others. I have been working on the development team for vivid/stasis for over three years as a song jacket illustrator (and gameplay organizer), and I have created over 30 unique song illustrations during my time there so far. Working for illustrations for vivid/stasis poses a unique challenge, as the games pixelated aesthetic constrains each jacket to only 100x100 pixels large. Because of this, us illustrators have to get creative in order for the jackets to still have those pleasing aesthetic qualities. I have attached some of my best ones below. I greatly enjoy working on these.
