Overview
My favorite era of motorsports was the late-1980s. It felt like at this time, motorsports in America was finally becoming mainstream, and every company was starting to rush to the sport to get their logos going around the track as fast as possible. Livery designs from this era were simply, but still had this quality to it that felt complex to master. I've spent a lot of free time studying liveries from around this time, trying to channel that into my own designs. Not to mention, logos evolve over time too. I've always made sure to use time-period-accurate logos to make the schemes feel authentic as possible, and it's made me respect logo design from this point in time way more than before. These are created on a flat two-dimensional template, and then applied to a three-dimensional object, in a similar vein to package design.
NOTE: All of these paint schemes are strictly concepts and do not reflect any official real-world teams, company involvements, or partnerships between the two.
While all the vehicle liveries are created by me, these models are created by the Nascar Racing 2003 Season community.
